2015 Ford Mustang: The Comparison

Being one of the biggest reveals in Ford history, the 2015 Mustang has definitely been turning heads with its new features and design.  Leaning more toward a sports luxury car than the iconic muscle car, this years unique design is a lot more refreshing than the fifth-generation.  But how different is the new 2015 Mustang? lets see how she stacks up to last years model.

Front:   The front of the 2015 Mustang is truly the real winner.  she gained a sleeker more futuristic front that just blows me away.  If you don't like the new design, don't worry about it...it'll grow on you, it had to for me.

Rear:  When the 2015 stang was released and people saw it, they fell in love...others were disappointed ( as was I ).  I fell so much in love with the 2013-2014 year model and especially the new smoked taillights, these things were awesome.  But when I really started to look more and more at the 2015 stang, it grew on me, the rear back up light is in an awesome spot, I love how ford didn't break up the sequential lights with the back up light and also adds more life to the rear.  Another thing about the rear, the ford mustang medallion on the decklid is gone, which I do not like at all, this feature was awesome and made the rear of the car.

The Interior:  Now, again...I fell in love with the old mustang and the make over the interior got in 2010 was just amazing.  Some people think the interior was cheap and cheesy, and was made up of lots of cheap plastics and that's your opinion and your entitled to it, but with all do respect...if you don't like the mustangs interior, then don't buy one...simple right? good.  This years interior is like no other.  here are some good points:
  • The center stack is much sleeker
  • The cup holders are off-set from the shifter, so you don't bump your arm on your drink when shifting
  • The steering wheel has a more high-tech design and the buttons on the wheel are easy to press.
  • Dual-coual dash design.
  • My-color system and changed font on the analog gauges.

    Why (not) the Ford Mustang

For years people everywhere have been looking at the Ford Mustang and wondering why?.. or why not?  Well I'm going to give you some pros and cons of Ford's awesome machine.

    Pros:
    1.   The powerful engines, no matter if you have a V-8 or a V-6, you will have plenty enough power.  Even the stock V-6 draws enough to satisfy most driving enthusiasts, at 305 horsepower and 280 foot pounds of torque, the 3.7L V-6 has enough to propel it from a cold standstill to 60 miles an hour in just 5.4 seconds and does all this with 31 mpg on the highway.  Now, jumping up to the Mustang GT, the 5.0L V-8 kicks out 420 Horses and 390 foot pounds of torque, this beast goes 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds leaving you strapped to your seat.  The boss 302 is nice as well, but was only brought back for two years (2012-2013), this 5.0L V8 is known for 444 horsepower and 390 foot pounds of torque.  Fast enough? NO! didn't think so!   In the very powerful Shelby GT500, is a beautiful 5.8L supercharged V-8 that throws out an army of 662 horses and 631 foot pounds of torque, did I mention it has a top speed of 200 mph!!
    2. Steering: The mustang might be powerful, but it isn't just fast, she's also light on her feet and can take fast fun turns and stops quicker than most.  The mustang really shines on those long-curvy old country back roads, the steering is fast and responsive, which makes this vehicle tons of fun!  I prefer the manual transmission, you get the most horsepower from your engine and is a lot more fun than the automatic.
    3.  Miles per gallon: The V6 makes 305 horsepower and has an amazing acceleration time, it also has an EPA estimated 31 mpg on the highway and 23 in the city you cant argue with that.  Now, the GT has a lot of power and the more power equals less Miles to the gallon.  The GT 5.0L makes 420 horsepower with 25 mpg on the highway with 18 in the city, not really good for an everyday driver.  The superb Shelby GT500 is by far the most powerful of the models, it lacks gas mileage, with 14 mpg in the city and about 20 on the highway, the Shelby is an ideal choice for adrenaline junkies, but not for the everyday person on the go.
    4. Customization: The Ford Mustang is the worlds most customizable car, there are so many choices to choose from, such as: performance packages, rims, exhaust systems and stylish upgrades.
    5. Exterior:  It goes with out saying that the exterior is stunning.  Its mean-rock em' sock em' look will intimidate everyone, and get you right with the ladies.

    Cons:

    1. Low-quality interior materials:  I'm only putting this in here because I know some people don't enjoy the Mustang's unique interior, yes I agree there are some things inside the Mustang that I don't practically like, such as the back seat...they shouldn't even put a backseat in these things, they're way to small.  Another thing is the hard plastic on the door, why not make it like the dash and have soft-touch material.  But all in all the interior has a fun young side and a strong business man structure.
    2. Steering wheel:  I love the design of the steering wheel the only thing that sucks is the wheel doesn't telescope, I'm a big man and I don't really need it to, but when I'm trying to lay back and drive I cant do it.
    3. Complicated sync system:  This feature takes some getting used to, its complicated while going down the road, thankfully the 2015 Mustang will fix this.
Guys if your wondering if you should buy a mustang, the answer is yes, its a great car for beginners and professionals.  I don't recommend getting one until your about 25 years old because the insurance will kill you, all in all, this car has had 50 great years under its belt and is getting better by the year... I hope for another 50.

    1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra

    1993 Ford Mustang Cobra
The sound of a good ole American V-8 pumping under that hood, the rumble, the power pulses, is simply sweet music to my ears.  Although the 5.0 GT is all you would ever need in horsepower...the 1993 5.0L Cobra SVT engine is kicking out 240 Horsepower and 280 foot pounds of torque (standing 20 more horses above the 1993 GT) for those who want something more enjoyable than the usual, you might say the cobra is a bit more sinister.  If your wondering if this is a family car...absolutely, its not a "rocky rider", and its not an ill tempered hot rod that only adrenaline junkies, like myself can love, its a quick and agile car.  Think of it as a gentle war horse, if you will.  This body style was first introduced in 1979 and may have died ages ago, it still looks remarkable today, especially in white.  The hatch or "fox body" are by far one of the best looking mustangs out there, in my opinion, I enjoy them more than the 1994-2004 coupe models, they look a bit strange and wild.

    1964 Mustang Convertible Restoration piece.

Ford has a new deal that will allow you to go through a loop hole back in time to 1964.  With most of the original parts of the 1964 Mustang in scrapyards which are rusted or damaged beyond repair, Ford has made it where you can buy a 1964 Mustang convertible body shell and restore it yourself.  The body shell starts out at $15,000 and is made of virgin metal and uses modern welding techniques to improve the virginity of the car.  The shell comes rustproof and with final adjustments and finish preparation, is ready for painting and final assembly.  This is pretty cool, this is the Mustang that defined our generation, and was the first vehicle that everyone saluted each other with... Mustang to Mustang.  If you have any 64-66 Mustang parts, they will interchange with this body model.

    2015 Mustang: Updated V8 5.0 and 2.3L turbo 4CYL Pics

    2015 2.3L turbo 4-cyl
Ford showed up at the Detroit Auto Show, with a few wild Mustangs.  The 5.0 V8 and the 2.3L turbo 4-cyl, which were to be viewed by enthusiasts to give them a chance to see what the new Mustang is all about before sending it to dealerships everywhere.  Although Ford never intended for the hoods of any of the pony's to be opened, some visitors just sneaked in when Ford unexpectedly lifted the hood, and very quickly got some shots of the 2.3L and the very powerful 5.0L and leaked them online for all of us to see.  To whoever it was I just want to say...thank-you, I've been dying to see what the new 2.3L engine looks like in the mustang, which isn't all that bad looking.  I know most of the people who view my site like the more powerful V8 and don't get me wrong, I love power...but I love saving money in gas a lot better.  With the new turbo 4-cyl you get power up to 310 horsepower and 300 foot pounds of torque with great gas mileage, where do I sign?!  I only have one problem with the turbo 4-cyl...what does It sound like?  this year the 5.0 is going to be a bad little SOB. it got a power boost from 420 to what is now supposedly going to be close to 500 horsepower and 400 pounds lighter, this car is going to be a rocket on the road...I wouldn't be surprised if it flies. This is the year is the year to buy the 5.0

    2015 Mustang: Drive one today!

Did you know you can get behind the wheel of a 2015 Ford Mustang today?  A simple download that you can add to the game ' Need for Speed Rivals' allows you to drive and race the new Mustang virtually.  The 2015 Mustang will not go on sale until later in the calendar year, but gamers will be a few steps ahead of the rest of us in getting comfortable with Ford's new masterpiece.  This is only obtainable when gamers go online via their game console (PlayStation, PC, and Xbox).  This feature is outstanding, how many times have you said "man I cant wait until this car comes out I want to see what it is like on the road", well what are you waiting for?! go get Need for Speed Rivals, download this feature and start racing and running from the cops, it's insane, you perform impossible blood pumping stunts like power slides and 200-foot jumps off of cliffs and bridges in the desert.  I've played this game its pretty electrifying, if I do say so myself.

    2015 Ford Mustang: Mach 1

I've heard a rumor that a 2015 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Might join the Ford line-up, once again.  Ford hasn't pushed out a Mach 1 in ten years.  This is a mustang with a blast from the past with a modern touch of technology.  This one is for the masses.  I expect this car to sell, sell, sell.  From the renderings I've seen, I just know this car will be turning heads everywhere.  The 2015 Mach 1 combines most of the old traditional features in the new, like the tri-colored mustang emblem in the grille (which I love), the Mach 1 side stripes, the black hood painted scoop and functional hood vents, which just comes together so nicely.

You can definitely see the history behind the vehicle.  See the distinctive front-splitter? (fig.2) ...that is something that is reserved for specialty cars with hood scoops.  But what is more interesting is what lies underneath those hood scoops.

The original Mach 1, a 351 cubic-inch V8 with 2 barreled carburetor came standard for 260+ horsepower.  Or a 428 cubic-inch Ram Air Cobra V8 with 335 horsepower and 450 foot pounds of torque.  But the people at Ford have something else in mind for the new Pony.  Supposedly its supposed to be powered by the Rumored Voo-Doo engine, which is above the Coyote 5.0L V8 currently in the GT models.  The Voo-Doo comes with 2 turbochargers, (yes u heard right).  If what I heard is correct, a 180-degree crankshaft is in place.  Because of the new crankshaft you should be able to get increased power and better throttle response, unfortunately there's a down flaw to this; the vibration of the engine will be increased and might cause problems and will require very, very careful engineering.  This is why you mainly see these engines in high-performance Italian sports cars.

As for the power of the car, you should get close to 550+ horsepower.  In the original Mustang Mach 1 some power was held back due to the solid rear axle.  Thanks to the new generation of Mustang, that will be getting a new fully-independent front and rear suspension, no power will be held back...ladies and gentlemen...prepare for lift off.  I think its safe to say that the new Mach 1 is cool, but is exquisite with the Rumored Voo-Doo engine.  I would love to get my hands on one of these cars, I just hope Ford makes it live up to its potential.

1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302: Awakened from 40-year nap

What if you were to walk outside, go into your garage and find a Mustang hidden away in there somewhere?  Well your not the only one, I too wish I could find something as cool as a Mustang hidden in my garage.  Still reading?...good, a man in New Hampshire was plundering around on his property and stumbled upon a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Fastback stashed in his barn, 40 years after the time its owner abandoned it.

The classic V8 colored in blue, was left behind after the owner ran over a fire-hydrant and supposedly lost interest in the vehicle in the early 70's which might have been the last time this piece of history was used.  The car was sold on eBay for around $70,000.

Wow! imagine that, what a rare find.  Ford only made 1,628 Boss 302's in 1969 and their value has grown more and more each year and newly restored models grabbing close to $82,000.  Wouldn't that make you start looking around in places like barns and shacks? I think so.  This Mustang looks very well preserved, even the color looks great to have been sitting for all those years.  There's no way to keep the dust off the car even under a tarp.  The interior might have some dust and a few spider webs, but shows a great level of preservation.

    1967 Mustang: The "Obsidian"

The name for this Mustang is "The Obsidian SG-one". Obsidian is the color, and "SG" for the owner, Steve Groat, and One meaning that only one will be built.  At a firm price of $315,000.00 I can see why, but there are serious collectors who will pay him an insane amount of money for this Mustang.  The heart consist of a fuel-injected 392 cubic inch V8 with twin Rotrex superchargers.  Adding to its looks, smoke-tinted glass has been installed along with LED sequential taillights and a functional rear diffuser.  Its front Coupe GT wheels makes this beast one classic that collectors would love to have in there garage.  They sure didn't overlook anything in its creation processes.  There's no mistaking this for any other than a mustang. drivability is really important, so RSS suspension with quad Brembo brakes were installed to maintain stability and safety on the highway.  2.4Ghz 60GB computer hard drive and controlled by a 10 1/2-inch touchscreen installed in the dash. This a dream vehicle, I wish I could win the lottery, this car would be mine! If they did another T.V. series like "Knight Rider", this could be the next "Kit".

    Engine Specs:

Engine: 6.4L (392 Cubic inch) V-8, twin Rotex

    Supercharged/Intercooled with fuel injection

Horsepower: 900HP (with 1,000HP+ with tuning)

    Torque: 750 lbs. ft.

    0-60MPH: 4 Seconds

    Transmission: 6-Speed Manual

    Weight: 3,000 lbs

    Shelby Inspired F-100

Everybody knows Gene Simmons, if you don't know who he is, he's the bass guitarist from the rock band "Kiss".  Well he and his wife, Shannon Tweed have pulled back the curtain on their really awesome truck; a custom 1956 Ford F-100 pick-up truck at the 2013 SEMA show.  Built with the help of Ford, the classic is named "Snakebit" and has styling features inspired by the high-performance Shelby Mustangs.  The truck is powered by a supercharged 5.4L V8 engine that sends 550 Horsepower and lurks behind the Mustang Inspired Grille with a six-speed Manual Transmission.  It has a stretched wheelbase, a widened box with a Machined floor that imitates wood, 18-inch front wheels and 20-inch real wheels along with custom built head and tail lights.  Inside you'll see handmade panels, two-tone leather interior, classic gauges and custom leather wrapped dash and armrests.  This a cool little truck, its got that great classic look, the best color, a fun manual transmission and most importantly...that big supercharged engine.  Please comment and share. Thanks.

    2014 Mustang Customizer: #2

Ok the last time I made a Mustang customizer post was back in October so I thought we were due for one.  The first post I did I had 125 cars built and 60,000 points, now I have 270 cars built and 113,770 points.  The cars that I'm showing are my most popular...What is the Mustang Customizer?, you ask.  It's a battling contest that Ford created so people like you and me can build our dream mustangs and battle them for a chance to win the car that you customize, and its not some "fill in the blank" entry contest;  if  you want to win your going to have to work at it.  So here's what you do...go to www.ford.com and click on Cars>Mustang>Then choose the customizer.  The more cars you build equals more points and more points equal more entries.

    2015 Mustang Sedan?

What if Ford made a Mustang Sedan?...thank God Ford said it was a no go..I could not see Ford going forward with such a ugly model.  The Mustang is an icon and will continue in it's form as a unique 2 door, 2+2 performance vehicle.
    2015 Ford Mustang Sedan rendering
The picture posted above is showing how a four-door version of the model may look like if the company will decide to put it into production. This can be a rival for the Dodge Charger but it will never see the pavement. I could see a hatchback model like the models from the 1980's and early 1990's. anyway. Please comment and share, Thank-you

    2015 Mustang: Features

Since the 2015 Ford Mustang and Coupe was introduced, many have been interested in its features.  These are what I feel are some its best features.
    • a 3.7-liter V-6, a more powerful 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder with 310 horsepower, and a 420 plus horsepower, 5.0-liter V-8.
    • Driving modes and steering modes.
    • New standard features and technology.
Ford announced Tuesday the 2015 Mustang will be the first vehicle to feature the newest generation of the Sync AppLink technology for connecting to, and interacting with, your smartphone very easily while driving.

Sync AppLink lets you control smartphone apps using your car voice recognition. You can open and navigate apps such as Aha Radio, Rhapsody, Glympse, without ever picking up your phone. AppLink, isn’t 100% seamless, it’s useful for drivers who want to use apps without taking their eyes off the road.
Ford also announced four new apps for its Sync system... two parking apps (Parkopedia and Parkmobile), a home-security app (ADT), and an app from Domino’s, so you can order pizza on your way home from work.

AppLink isn’t the only tech you'll see on the new Mustang. We can also look forward to new track apps, the safety tech and sensors seen on other Ford vehicles, and a 4-inch  touchscreen.

Missing is Ford’s Active Parking Assist, which is a parking feature that helps drivers parallel park...I mean come on, do we really need that... people who buy Mustangs are people who enjoy driving, and who know how to park.

    2015 Mustang: Re-rendered Mustang Design

The computer generated changes include slightly tweaked headlamps, no longer feature the three vertical gills from the first-generation car and slimmer daytime running lights, while the fog lamps have been moved below the front grille. The rear of the pony was rendered with a different bumper and even with quad exhaust pipes...I thought you guys might enjoy these pics... I wonder if Ford might use these in next years models.
please comment and share, thank you

The 2015 Mustang Cobra Jet: Rendered

Ford has confirmed that the Cobra Jet program will continue into the sixth-generation Mustang, it’s still not sure if the Blue Oval company will use the new S550 platform, which ditched the classic live rear axle for an independent rear suspension.

the 2015 Cobra Jet could use a Taurus platform or even a rear-wheel drive configuration of the all-wheel drive Fusion, although the latter scenario is too far fetched.

But no matter what platform will be used to underpin the new dragster, the 2015 Cobra Jet will most certainly look the road going version that Ford revealed. There’s no talk when the new quarter mile racer will be unveiled. If there’s any indication on what the 2015 model may come outfitted with, the current 2014 Mustang Cobra Jet power. comes by way of a 5.0L Coyote engine boosted by a Whipple supercharger system

    2015 Ford Mustang: Shelby GT350

The team at Mustang6G thinks they have a very good idea, thanks to the body codes they've uncovered in what appears to be a leaked document for the new Mustang.

The codes shows all the usual will be there, V-6 and V-8 coupe models, but also point to a Shelby coupe.  The best Intel so far on the next-generation Shelby Mustang makes a GT350 badge seem possible.

       The Mustang6G crew thinks
an indication that the Eco-Boost four-cylinder will be an engine option for the V-6 base car, rather than having its own body code.

    2015 Ford Mustang: New colors.

When the 2015 Ford Mustang hits showrooms late 2014, you will have 10 different color options to chose from.  the newest is the Triple Yellow color, as well as new silver options.
Ford's Group Chief Designer - Susan Lampinen, said "We're offering our customers a whole range of colors, from our core colors, our basic colors, blacks, whites, silvers, grays, and we're also offering very expressive, bold, powerful colors like our race red, tinted clear coat reds."

If you notice..the rear back up light is toward the bottom in the middle near the exhaust, ford did this so they wouldn't break up the gorgeous taillights by putting it in the middle of the taillights.  this feature of many is one of my favorites.  The fastback silhouette is just the best.

My favorite color for a vehicle is white but im leaning toward the triple yellow and ruby red. I actually have a 1993 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe, (3.8l supercharged V-6) in crimson red, its an amazing color. what do you guys think of the colors? please comment and share
